Our Judo program is currently designed for students ages 13 and up with varying degrees of fitness/exercise experience. Whether you are looking to learn self-defense, to build self-confidence, or just to get in better shape, our Judo program may be for you. We teach fundamental aspects of self-defense geared towards real life situations where an aggressor may be bigger, stronger, faster and better equipped than you. We teach you how to defend yourself and escape from a dangerous situation, as well how to control an opponent and eventually render them ineffective, if need be. We do this by teaching the art of Judo. Judo a close cousin to Jiujitsu, focuses on getting an opponent from their feet down to the ground using throwing techniques. These techniques emphasize using an opponent’s momentum, force and energy against them.
